I like to be in America!

Hi everyone!

So it’s been awhile! I’m happy to post that lots of great things have started happening since I got back from the cruise. I can’t believe it has almost been 10 months since I returned to America!

Since then I have been very blessed with career opportunities and friends I’ve met along the way. O.K. that’s as sappy as I will get. I promise. Done aaaaand done.

Not long after I settled back in at home I was fortunate enough to get cast as the ingenue roll, Dawn, in Shake, Rattle and Roll!, an original musical by Moranz Entertainment in Charleston, SC.

Here’s a quick link to a clip from the show>>>  I Wanna Hold Your Hand

What a wonderful group of people! And what a wonderful city! If you haven’t been to RareBit in Charleston, SC, then you haven’t tasted the best mac and cheese and the best chicken and waffles you’ll ever eat. Oh my goodness! I mean, seriously though it’s the best. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Anywaaaaaaays, this wonderful show allowed me to meet a fellow cast member who was kind enough to give my information to the Artistic Director of the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. I was able to get a callback for CATS the Musical! It was definitely a drive getting down to Atlanta, but I’m so thankful I did because I’m currently playing Rumpleteazer in Atlanta! Here’s a link for tickets! >>>  TICKETS

just messing around at rehearsal

Immediately preceding CATS I had the amazing opportunity of the quickest summerstock rehearsal process I’ve ever heard of or experienced. 6 days to learn extreme tap dancing, tricky scenes, and wordy songs and make them into something great, which did end up occurring despite our disbelief in the beginning. This was with West Virginia Public Theatre’s Dames at Sea. I was Joan, who was based off of the famous 1930s actress Joan Blondell,

with whom I became obsessed after watching a few of her films. It was such a fun role to play and it ended all too soon right when everyone really became comfortable with the show. That’s how summerstock goes though I guess!

I should also be getting video clips soon!

Throughout the last couple of months I have also been interested in putting together a demo album which I want to have recorded at a professional studio as soon as a have a moment to breathe a bit. It is a combination of 30s-50s jazzy, and big band music. Mr. Bob Anderson of South Charleston, WV has been kind enough to promote me. I had a short photoshoot and a great write up in the Gazette. If I can find a link then I'll attach it at a later date =)

I enjoy all of the sounds and pizazz that era had to offer. It’s all very uplifting music. Here’s some of what I have right now>>>  MUSIC

I still have a bunch to catch up on and write about, but for now I’m closing this one off and will save some stuff for another post =)
